The East - Andasibe
You start in
Tana and take the road to TOAMASINA, passing by multi-coloured rice fields.
Your first stop is at the private reservation
of Pereyras, the country's largest butterfly
and reptile farm.
Next, you visit the National Reserve of ANDASIBE, 130
km east of Tana in the rain forest.
Many endemic plants and various lemurs, ranging from
the chimpanzee-sized INDRI-INDRI to the diminutive nocturnal mouse lemur,
can be seen there.
You may continue your trip to TOAMASINA (Tamatave), the most important harbour of Madagascar.
