Nosy Boraha /Sainte Marie
This is an ideal extension of your Madagascar trip. You reach Sainte Marie via propeller planes from Tana or Toamasina.
Sainte Marie is a lovely spot to relax, 5 miles away from the east coast
of the main island of Madagascar, with beautiful lonesome beaches
and a colourful nature.
For all its beauty, Sainte Marie is still largely untouched by the global
tourist streams. Here you can find unspoiled nature,
and genuinely friendly people.
If you are lucky - from July to September - you can go whale watching
on a boat. Also, you can rent a bicycle or walk across the island.
Other interesting trips are a journey to the neighbouring island of "L'ILE AUX NATTES" by canoe, and where you may enjoy the famous local dish "Poulet au coco" (Coconut chicken) or a motor boat ride to the northern top of Sainte Marie.
